I’ve always dreamed of what it would be like to be a Travel influencer, travelling around the world visiting exotic destinations and getting paid for it.

Until recently there was not much chance of making this dream a reality but now travel influencers are living the dream and getting paid for the privilege.

The beauty of this becoming a Travel influencer is that it’s open to everyone no matter who you are or where you live, all you need is a phone, internet and an interest in finding some beautiful places to document.

Being a travel influencer isn’t for everyone but if traveling and seeing the world is something you enjoy then what a great way to earn a living.

Building a following as a travel influencer can be difficult as you need to provide good quality content on a regular basis that people find interesting.

There are a lot of travel influencers and people trying to get into this space so don’t be afraid to be different, you don’t even need to travel that far to start. You can start by documenting places close to where you live.

These places may be boring to you and feel like the same old places you’ve grown up visiting but there will be millions of people that have never been there and find it interesting.

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that they need to get on a flight to the Caribbean and take photos on the beach, yes this is amazing and can produce some great content, but everyone has to start somewhere.

Start off locally to build up your following using local hashtags and once your following starts to grow you can start taking your trips a bit further afield. Who knows within a year you could be getting sponsored to go island hopping in Greece or back packing around Australia. Whatever your end goal is just remember you have to start somewhere.
