I’ve always been interested in the difference between success and influence, what makes someone successful compared to being an influencer?

Someone can be very successful but not influential and on the other end of the scale there are really influential people that aren’t successful, the lines are never completely clear.

I understand that both success and influence are judged depending on the persons values doing the judging. We give you the facts to contemplate your view on what makes someone successful, and influencer or both.

I have friends that have been extremely influential in shaping the British music industry over the past 20 years and are now making huge moves into the tv space. They have under 5000 followers on Instagram and its unlikely you have heard of their names, in my eyes they are hugely influential and successful.

On the other side someone with no previous history of success can go on love island and leave with 1 million+ followers and brand screaming out to work with them.

Like everything in life this is not clear cut and that’s why I decided to produce the influencer Access digital magazine. We will explore what makes someone an influencer and showcase some amazing people, from people that have changed the world from behind the scenes, to the stars in front of the camera.

We are looking at how these people got where they are today, their journey and where they are heading. We will look at the issues they faced along the way and how that shaped them into the people they are today.

We will dispel the myths of what qualifies someone to be an influencer and celebrate the amazing talent, dedication and creativity it takes to become truly influential.
